After over 5 very successful years at the helm of St Maurs our Chairperson Derek Farren has decided to step down. Derek will continue as a member of the management committee and as a key member
of the clubs development committee. Our Vice Chairperson Martin Mulvey will step in as interim Chairperson for the coming months and the club will hold a General meeting early in the New year.
The club owes Derek a huge debt of gratitude. His Chairmanship was a time of incredible change for St Maurs with a big growth in club membership and a huge investment in facilities.
The building of our All weather pitch and the commencement of works for our sand based pitch will stand as a lasting legacy for Derek and theres no doubt they would not have been achieved without his drive and enthusiasm.
Derek as you know is a people person and his easy going and personable manner were key to the success of the club in recent years.
We are delighted that he will stay on our development committee to see this current project through and I am sure we will be in need of his advice and experience in the coming year.
We wish Martin and new Secretary Eoghan Hayden every success as they lead St Maurs into its next phase . Our full club executive Committee is here
